Sorry for being late, but I’ve decided to begin making NFL game picks every week. I don’t think I’ve been writing enough and I apologize and here is my solution(or one of them, expect more articles soon. Anyway, here are the picks.
Bengals 12-17 Colts
Andrew Luck’s return does not go too smoothly, as he tosses two picks. However, he is able to come up in clutch time with two second half TD passes for the win.
Bills 9-27 Ravens
The Bills may be the worst team in the NFL this year, and the Ravens are hungry for revenge after Buffalo ousted them from the playoffs last year. Expect an easy win for Baltimore behind three TD tosses from Joe Flacco.
Bucs 13-31 Saints
No Fitzmagic for Tampa on this day, as the Saints romp at home. New Orleans has arguably the most talented roster in the NFL(although Philly and Minny might say otherwise), and are too much for the Bucs as Drew Brees throws two TDs and Alvin Kamara adds two more on the ground.
Texans 34-37 Patriots(OT)
After last year’s thriller between these two teams, New England needs overtime to vanquish Deshaun Watson and the Texans despite Watson’s four total TDs.
49ers 16-28 Vikings
Jimmy Garoppolo struggles in his season debut, tossing two picks and taking seven sacks against an impenetrable Vikings’ defense.
Titans 26-22 Dolphins
Tennessee was a playoff team last year, but I don’t think they should have been. Still, they do pick up the W in Miami even after a 0 TD, 2 INT performance from Marcus Mariota.
Jags 31-21 Giants
Other than Jalen vs OBJ, this matchup is clearly all Jags, and Ramsey helps by keeping Odell out of the end zone(and starting a fight).
Steelers 24-27 Browns
Book it. Cleveland’s first win in a year. Pittsburgh misses star RB Le’Veon Bell in the worst way as Tyrod Taylor torches the Steeler defense with three TDs and zero turnovers.
Chiefs 21-38 Chargers
Sophomore QB Patrick Mahomes plays decent, but not enough to match his Charger counterpart in Phillip Rivers who tosses 300 yards and 4 TDs.
Cowboys 7-29 Panthers
Dallas’s lack of a passing game kills them against Carolina’s fantastic run defense, as Ezekiel Elliott still gets 90 yards and a TD but is not enough to carry the Cowboys.
Redskins 24-19 Cardinals
Washington’s two vets in Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson team up for 350 yards of offense between them as the Redskins win.
Seahawks 24-26 Broncos
Russell Wilson fights tooth and nail but the lack of a solid O-line dooms Seattle. Expect Wilson trade rumors to arise by season’s end.
Bears 23-31 Packers
Aaron Rodgers is too much for Khalil Mack and the Bears, although Chicago does put up a fight behind Mitchell Trubisky’s two passing TDs.
Jets 14-24 Lions
The Jets are just talentless overall, and turn the ball over four times in a loss in Detroit.
Rams 34-19 Raiders
Jon Gruden’s return starts inauspiciously, with a big loss to LA. Jared Goff throws four TD passes, three in the second half.
